ROAD
PLENTY
Australia
One of the world's great destinations for any type of travel, Australia has everything from cosmopolitan cities, world class wine regions, cultural uniqueness, wildlife and magical beaches.

Australia is by far my favorite vacation destination (and the source of the name Plenty Road). When I was in sixth grade I had a school assignment on Australia and fell in love. It was also about the time that Crocodile Dundee was released and Australia got very popular in the United States. Fast forward about 15 years and I found myself living there in what was my first time outside my home country. I've returned every few years since then and had the good fortune of getting to know it like a second home.

Australia is one of the easiest places to travel to. The people are wonderful, it is an English speaking country (easy for those from other English speaking countries at least), and great infrastructure to get around. The most important thing to consider in planning a trip to Australia is that it is large- about the same size as the United States. You likely will not be able to do everything you want to in a traditional amount of vacation time. I'd recommend three weeks at a minimum to make it worth the long flight (think of trying to experience the United States in a week- you would likely only do a city or two).
