Japan

The culture makes for one of the most interesting, enjoyable and easiest places to travel in the world

Something attracted me about Japan growing up in the 1980s. Perhaps it was the influence of movies like Karate Kid II and Nintendo video games as a young kid. I ended up studying Japanese language for a number of years and while I forgot everything but a couple words, the desire to go never eroded. However, it took me quite a few years to finally make it.

The experience was more than I even imagined and I fell in love with the traditions and culture. You will find no place with better customer service if you are someone that enjoys shopping, dining or hotel service. Tokyo is the only major city I have visited and there is more to see that can possibly be done in a short trip. But you can see some of the main spots and get a good sense of things with just a few days.
