ROAD

I've visited Alabama a few times, but only passing through or for business where I didn't explore or really leave the hotel. The only time spent more than a brief meal was a three day conference outside Birmingham many years ago. It was at a hotel that was connected to a suburban shopping mall, so not an experience of any cultural or historical significance.

That said, I do hope to visit the state again soon since it has so much civil rights history and probably a good place to catch a football game.
