Few areas have so much influence in the world's history

It is really difficult to describe Israel by only going to Jerusalem. I knew that I wanted to go to Israel because of the history and ongoing religious and political importance in the world, but was unsure where to start. In the end, my only visit was part of a larger trip the the region and I only had a few days. It came between the energy and beauty of Tel Aviv or the history of Jerusalem. I had regret about not experiencing Tel Aviv going into the trip, but am completely confident I made the right decision as a person that loves cultural history. But the two cities are somewhat equidistant from the airport and can both be done in the same trip.
